Systemagic have all the usual things companies point towards when discussing culture – a treats fridge with free drinks, a break-out area with comfy sofas, an xBox and Netflix and they often order ‘dirty’ lunches in. Systemagic are an outsourced provider of IT support. IT Support is very much a team sport and like every successful team, communication is key to Systemagic’s success. They were even shortlisted in the national Perk-box small business workplace culture awards as recognition of the amazing culture and atmosphere they’ve created.
Working on the Helpdesk, you will learn:
- Dealing with support requests
- Supporting customers on the phone
- Providing remote IT support to customers
- Checking backups
- Performing regular maintenance on servers and PCs
- Setting up new users and equipment
Training and progression is central to everything Systemagic do. They have worked hard to develop a “grow your own talent” culture where investing in people and guiding them through their apprenticeship is rewarding for Systemagic and the apprentice. They’re lucky to retain most of the team members that they train and are committed to creating annual apprenticeship opportunities in the business.
The majority of the team were home-grown either as apprentices or graduates and it’s something they’re extremely proud of.
