Job Details

Are you looking to develop a career in cyber security with an exciting and diverse organisation?

Starting: Spring 2022

Salary: £32,130

Location: London

Qualifications: Once you’ve successfully completed your apprenticeship, you’ll be a proficient Cyber Security Engineer.

Be our first line of defence against cyber threats

Our customers are in the millions, and we have a duty to protect them every day. At Lloyds Banking Group, we’re looking for people who are fascinated by state-of-the-art security. People who are passionate about tech and ready to innovate. People who can grow and develop into the cyber security engineers of the future.

You'll be supported by your Line Manager, in-work Buddy and Apprenticeship Learning Mentor. While you’re on the scheme, 20% of your time will be dedicated to ‘off the job learning’, which can include attending workshops, shadowing, reading and completing assignments. This means that 80% of your role will involve applying your learning to help build the Bank of the Future.

Is the Cyber Security Engineer Apprenticeship for you?

We’re looking for people with passion, people with potential. Ideally, you’ll be a fantastic collaborator who loves using data and tech to find innovative solutions to everyday problems. You’ll also be rich in creativity and problem-solving skills – as well as detailed and organised in your approach.

In return, we’ll offer you a competitive package which includes salary, bonus, a generous pension contribution, an attractive path of progression and flex cash to spend on a host of benefits to suit your lifestyle. At Lloyds Banking Group, we have a long track record of flexible working, and we’re always open to new ways of improving our people’s work-life balance, therefore open to discussion on working patterns and working hours.

What you’ll learn on the Cyber Security Engineer Apprenticeship

Day to day, you’ll react to cyber threats across Lloyds Banking Group. You’ll discover any vulnerabilities in our system and construct tailored defence mechanisms to help our customers stay safe and secure.

The work you could be doing

  • Future-proofing against the latest computerised attacks
  • Researching and investigating common attack techniques and defences
  • Developing skills in agile ways of working
