Starting in May 2022, the IT Solutions Technician Apprenticeship offers an exciting and fulfilling career opportunity for inquisitive, forward-thinking and solution-focused individuals.

You'll gain an insight into how different large-scale projects run within Lloyds Banking Group and how the resulting outputs affect our customers or different internal areas of our business. You’ll further discover how different business areas operate and function across the organisation.

Is the IT Solutions Technician Apprenticeship for you?

We’re looking for innovative problem solvers and team-players. People with an eye for detail. People who want to help build the bank of the future. 

Day to day, you'll be responsible for technical analysis and solution design for small work packages, initiatives or small components of a larger project or product. You'll use technical analyst skills to support the Product Owner or Project Manager to identify and understand the technical needs, analyse and prioritise the requirements and then assess, design, test and implement agreed solutions.

What you’ll learn on the IT Solutions Technician Apprenticeship

You’ll work with Group Transformation or the Chief Information Office. They’re our leaders and experts here at Lloyds Banking Group, specialising in the delivery and support of large, complex change programmes, as well as the implementation of cross-divisional and regulatory initiatives.

You'll get involved in gathering, monitoring and analysing risk data, using established risk management models, systems and protocols and recommends further investigation.

The work you could be doing

  • Producing accurate reports for others by collecting data from a variety of standard sources and inputting that data into standard formats
  • Developing personal capabilities using existing formal and informal training opportunities
  • Implementing improvements and using change management systems and protocols to provide routine support services
  • Support others by performing prescribed product development/engineering activities

What you need to apply

Grade C or above in at least five GCSEs including English and Mathematics, plus 104 UCAS points (or equivalent)
