What will the apprentice be doing?

Duties may include, but are not limited to -

· Setting up, using and maintaining surveying equipment

· Maintaining an up to date and accurate site diary

· Initiate work permits

· Help maintain a safe and tidy site and implement safe systems after appropriate training / guidance

· Quality Assurance records

· Developing management skills

· Produce site sketches

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The successful applicant will be enrolled on either a level 3 or level 4 programme, depending on their previous learning and experience.

The training is delivered on day release, online.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Once you have achieved this apprenticeship standard you could progress on to a higher level apprenticeship standard or continue in to full time employment

Things to consider

The site is based on the outskirts of Swindon so being able to drive would be an advantage. No previous construction experience is required but a passion for construction is. We are looking for either individuals wanting to take their first steps into construction or those with prior construction learning or experience looking to progress.
