The role requires working closely with the Project Lead to ensure customer orders are received, processed through the manufacturing system and delivered on time.

A normal day would include:
  • Act as Project Manager to initiate, manage, and continuously monitor, specific minor projects and/or specific aspects of larger projects to ensure effective progress and consistent delivery of projects aligned to the agreed funding, outputs, and timescales for those projects
  • Book various inspections in accordance with pre-approved Project process
  • Provide the required information to the Client Inspector and produce adocumentation in getting the orders released
  • Once released - preparing and providing all required shipping documents and photographs for the goods to be collected
  • Working with productions and stores to oversee the order through from beginning to end
  • Entering purchase order onto the Production system
  • Assist in drafting Project Plans for approval and keep them up to date for each project
  • Undertake assigned duties and manage in accordance with the Project Management Procedures. Assist with updating project schedules and cost plans where required
  • Assist in identifying the necessary internal and external approvals consistent with current Steadfast practices and procedures
  • Assist in identifying and monitoring risks and opportunities, develop mitigation plans and contribute to a risk management plan
  • As Project Manager obtain accurate cost estimates so as to enable schemes to be progressed through various technical design and implementation stages
  • Support colleagues internally to utilise materials, allocate stock

Full training and support will be provided by The Growth Company to help you achieve your apprenticeship and reach your full potential in your role. Stockport Council will also provide you with an apprenticeship mentor to support the 'on the job' element of your placement.

Desired qualifications

5 GCSE's grade C/4 andabove in maths & English or equivalent.
