What will the apprentice be doing?
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The apprentice will attend the University of Chichester for 1-2 days a week during term time.
Upon successful completion, apprentices will be awarded a Digital and Technology Solutions Professional Degree Apprenticeship which includes a BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions (Software Engineer) degree.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
As a Degree Apprentice you'll be prepared for a wide variety of IT Professional roles however you will develop occupational competence in Software Engineering.

Qualifications
A Level or equivalent 3x A Levels inc. Maths or Science (Grade C or above) Desired
BTEC or equivalent Computer Science, Electronics, IT or similar (Grade Merit) Desired
NVQ or SVQ Level 3 or equivalent Level 3 Apprenticeship in Engineering or IT (Grade Merit) Desired

- Develop software for our research and development projects
- Research and learn about new software technologies and assess their usefulness in improving our future products
- Write project proposals describing the purpose, and reports, describing the outcome.
- Be involved in testing software solutions on both real hardware and simulators.
- Learning vacuum and abatement science and understanding our customers applications.
