What will the apprentice be doing?

You will work as part of a team of specialist engineers and with wider multi-disciplinary project teams. Tasks will include:

- Measurement and analysis of noise and vibration
- Calculation and modelling of acoustic characteristics
- Design of acoustic solutions for the control or enhancement of sound or vibration
- Writing reports and delivering drawings and sketches
- Liaising with clients and teams of architects, engineers and designers
- Contributing to auralisation demonstrations, including in Arup's state of the art SoundLab facilities
- Visiting building and transportation sites

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

As part of your apprenticeship, you'll study towards the listed qualificaiton You'll study at a local partner college on day release, and combine this experience with real responsibilities in the workplace.

Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll have access to our online network. You'll also take internal courses. These cover technical aspects of the business, such as software, but also vital 'soft' skills such as report writing and working effectively.
