Graduate Internship - Manufacturing / Mechanical Engineering
This business is looking for a Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering graduate to complete a project for a customer. You will be automating the assembly of a product.
The opportunity will see you interacting with the customer, and generating your own ideas into a working prototype and subsequently into a working machine.
The business is a sub-contract machining and fabrication company working as a first-tier supplier to companies such as JCB, Williams Performance Tenders and Balfour Beatty. They have a proud history of employing students and graduates to take on stimulating project work whilst providing guidance with regard to project management and practical skills.
You will have the opportunity to apply aspects of engineering that you have learned during your course (for example automation, CAD modelling, control, pneumatics etc) whilst developing skills vital for a career in engineering that you perhaps haven't been taught at University, such as customer interaction.
You will also have the opportunity to use your problem solving, design, and project/time management skills.
The location is Hereford and is possibly commutable from Worcester, Cheltenham and Gloucester.
