Our apprentice programme is a great opportunity to gain a recognised qualification from college, whilst working on one of our projects and earning a salary.
The Administrator will work closely together with the Senior Works Superintendent and support the administrative tasks of the Area Central compounds/sites.
Main Responsibilities
* Liaising between Area Central (main) and compounds* Document Control (handling receipts and pre-accounting); uploading documents to SharePoint & AssetWise)* Booking site access for colleagues* Procurement (creating requisitions, supporting deliveries, dealing with receipts)* Communication with site services (overseeing cleaners at compounds)* Attend Foreman Meetings and produce minutes of meetings* Supporting Audits* Adherence to SCS policies and procedures* Organising filing systems on sites* Ad hoc duties as job requiresThe Ideal Candidate
* Competent in IT skills - Experience of Microsoft Office* English - spoken & in writing* Training will be given on bespoke software applications* Apprentice salary = GBP18,000 per year* Position based in North ActonAbout The Company
The role will work on the HS2 project. HS2 is the UK's new high speed rail network. It will be a catalyst for economic growth across Britain, freeing up space on the existing railways and connecting 8 out of the UK's 10 biggest cities with fast, reliable and frequent high speed services
The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 Main Civils Contracts which include both Lots S1 (Euston Tunnels & Approaches) and S2 (Northolt Tunnels). The combined value of the contracts is around GBP1.8billion with the works due for completion in 2025. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
