Pre-registered Trainee Pharmacy Technician Apprentice

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our friendly team at Cambridge City 4 Primary Care Network in a new collaborative pharmacy technician training scheme between Primary and Community Care.  You will join an existing PCN team, consisting of three Clinical Pharmacists, two Pharmacy Technicians, a First Contact Physiotherapist and a personalised care team of Social Prescribing Link Workers, Care Coordinators and Health and Wellbeing Coaches. You will undergo training within general practice (GP surgery) and rotate into a community pharmacy.  

While working in both settings you will work alongside a dedicated team of pharmacy technicians, pharmacists and pharmacy support workers to gain experience in all aspects of the role of a GP practice and community-based pharmacy technician. Responsibilities will include dispensing medicines, ordering medicines, working as part of multidisciplinary teams dealing with patients and their medicinal needs, reviewing patients’ medicines, and liaising with other health care professionals to improve the care of the patients, audit and data collection and providing high quality service to patients at all times.

You will develop the knowledge, skills and competencies to achieve a Level 3 Diploma in ‘The Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technician’ through a structured rotational training program with Cambridge City 4 PCN in order to register as Pharmacy Technician.
