What will the apprentice be doing?
You will have responsibilities from early on in your career and will learn something new every day. As a trusted member of the team you will support managers to run the site effectively, whilst developing skills in a varied environment of a quarry or asphalt plant, alongside a team of motivated people who will support you. You will gain experience in all activities from drilling and blasting and driving mobile plant to ensuring the site is compliant with critical health and safety procedures.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
During the three year programme you will gain experience and relevant qualifications in operational aspects of our business alongside distance learning delivered by The University of Derby. You will be supported by a mentor as well as your line manager and receive first class training internally. You will 'earn while you learn' by completing a university diploma in mineral products technology while working on site in your day to day role.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

A Level or equivalent 2 subjects including a STEM subject (Grade Grades A-C (Grade 80+ UCAS pts) Essential
Other UK Driving Licence (Grade Full or in progess by Aug 2021) Essential
