As part of our continued response to COVID19, we are closely following Department of Health and Social Care's (DHSC) guidance and the government's legislation. It is a now a legal requirement that full COVID19 vaccination is a condition of employment in all healthcare roles which have face-to-face contact with service users from 1 April 2022. This also means that by 3 February 2022 all such staff will need to have had their first COVID19 vaccination. Shouldyour role be identified as being within the scope of the legislation, you will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status or a legitimate exemption from these requirements as a condition of your employment.

As you will have seen, the vaccine programme has made a great start and we are now looking to expand our workforce pool to help deliver this vital protection to people living across the Bath, Swindon and Wiltshire area.

To be considered for the role you will hold a professional healthcare registration and be willing to put yourself forward to undertake training and lend a hand.You could be a Nurse, Pharmacist, Occupational Health practitioner or other registered healthcare professional as outlined on the national protocol.

As a COVID-19 Clinical Supervisor you be responsible for overseeing a team of Vaccinators. You will responsible for:
  • Supervising clinical assessments of patients prior to vaccination
  • Supporting the reviews of complex medical histories, any potential adverse reactions and offering specialist advice as needed.
  • Ensuring the vaccination station, from set up to running the station, complies with relevant procedures
  • Clinical supervision of safe immunisations
  • Supervision of drawing up and preparation of the vaccine before administration and ensuring that each vaccine activity is recorded.
  • Delivery of the safe immunisation service and assisting any agreed changes needed within the setting and service areas.
  • Ensuring the best possible clinical outcomes by using up-to-date skills and adhering to policies and procedures

We are looking to recruit from our local communities to enable us to provide a safe and effective vaccination programme while continuing to offer timely access and minimal impact on other NHS services.

As the Lead Employer, you will work through the RUH bank on a zero hour's contract providing ad hoc flexible cover to help deliver the vaccines over the coming months at the Large Vaccination Centres at Bath Racecourse and Salisbury City Hall and across the Primary Care Network. You will have the flexibility to choose shifts and locations that suit your work-life balance.
