About us
As a key member of our fast-growing and diverse audit team, you will be working across a range of audit projects with clients of all sectors and sizes, performing both audit and accounts preparation assignments. We have 12 vacancies and the successful candidates will gain experience from on-the-job coaching, as well as professional training towards achieving the Chartered Accountant qualification. The role
We are seeking highly motivated, ambitious candidates who share our Values to join our Audit + Accounts team. The successful candidate will join us as an Apprentice with study support provided towards the completion of the AAT qualification.
Key accountabilities
Main Duties
• Preparation of company accounts and corporation tax returns
• Compiling audit evidence through communication and interaction with clients
• Active adherence to budgets, bringing matters to the attention of the senior/Manager where relevant
• Developing and strengthening existing client relationships through proactive and professional behaviour
• Adding value to clients’ businesses through identifying opportunities where we can assist/support
• Undertaking training or development as required by the Firm
• Carrying out ad hoc assignments as required
• Participate in Firm wide activities
Skills & experience
Person Specification
Education/Qualifications:
• The successful applicant will have good numeracy and literacy skills
• Applicants must hold, or be predicted to achieve minimum C grade A levels, or equivalent level of qualification
Key Skills:
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Drive and ambition to work within a progressive and commercial environment
• Excellent organisational ability
• Highly numerate and analytical
• A strong attention to detail
• Willingness to take on new tasks and work on own initiative
Other
This is a permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours per week) with a proposed start date of 5 September 2022. Salary and benefits will be discussed at interview, with benefits including a fully funded study package, on-the-job training, mentoring and flexi-time. Assessment days will take place in February with interviews in March 2022.
