What will the apprentice be doing?
Throughout your apprenticeship you will attend a number of lectures designed to increase your knowledge and understanding of further electronic theory, these include:
· Component recognition
· Component characteristics
· Circuit calculations
· Semi-conductor theory
· Fault finding techniques
· Testing and measuring
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
As an electronic apprentice you will spend your first year of training producing several electronic projects whilst also attending university part time. These projects will help you to develop your skills and knowledge in basic electronic theory, components, basic circuit design, circuit construction and reporting.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
As an apprentice with AWE, you will be offered a permanent contract from day one. Following the successful completion of the programme, you will move into a role within the business. This is typically a role where you have completed a placement as a part of the programme. From here, you will build your career as an AWE employee.
