Using a number of core components the engineering teams deploy routing, Wi-Fi, telephony, CCTV, switching and monitoring systems around outdoor and indoor sites using copper, fibre and wireless technologies.

The apprenticeship role will be involved in all technical stages of projects including specification, design, deployment, support and removal.

With on the job training and formal learning from an approved training provider the apprentice will develop new skills and experience with formal qualifications so they are able to configure, deploy and support network installations.

Responsibilities:
  • Applying standard configuration to equipment according to design
  • Troubleshooting technical issues within equipment and deployments (on site and remotely)
  • Deploying systems on site as required. This will include weekend and evening work
  • Liaising with relevant departments to ensure that tight deadlines are met
  • Managing and communicating with contractors and suppliers
  • Producing documentation

Company

This role is primarily based at customer sites with periods within the Wiltshire office (Royal Wootton Bassett).
