Construction Design Build Technician Apprentice

We are looking for an aspiring Assistant Façade Designer to work with our busy Cladding Design Team near Brentwood while completing a Level 4 Construction Design & Build Technician apprenticeship.

The successful candidate will spend a minimum of 18 months working on detailed design and production of construction information and co-ordinatingdesign documentation, on a daily basisThe apprenticeship could lead to such roles as Façade Designer, Design & Build Technician, Design Co-ordinator or Design Manager.

• Client requirements: Identification of requirements, RFIs
• Health & Safety: Project risk assessments
• Environmental Impact: Project environmental assessments
• Detailed Design: Assist designers by developing façade details in AutoCAD/REVIT
• and producing working details
• Schedule Production
• Technical Submittal Co-ordination
• Product Research

• Clash detection in REVIT Model
• Creating 'renders' from REVIT Models
• Creat
• ion of families of components in REVIT
• Design Document Control & Information Co-Ordination: Update Drawing Registers
• Set up and ad
• minister documents and drawings on Deltek PIM
• BIM: Induction and implementation of protocols
• Quality: Creation and monitoring of Design Quality Plans
• Commercial: Assist the QS team with the monitoring of project costs
• Compliance: Checking of project compliancePortfolio
• Build an ePortfolio: around 30 Pieces of Evidence to meet the Apprenticeship Standard
• Develop an Individual Project with application to Cladding Design & Installation

5+ Other GCSEs (Grade A*-C 9/4 or equivalent)

AutoCAD skills
