What will the apprentice be doing?

As an Apprentice Public Health Intelligence Analyst, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for delivering an effective Public Health Intelligence service supporting public health delivery in a local authority. You will support the key activities of understanding the health needs of the population, addressing health inequalities, determining priorities for action, assisting wider understanding of the characteristics of the local population and actively disseminating findings to a wide audience.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Arch has a hybrid learning approach which balances self-paced online learning with expert tutoring, hands-on virtual labs and authentic business challenges to support you to complete the Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship Standard. Each module is delivered over a 4-week period made up of three component parts: self-paced online learning, virtual labs and fusion days, which bring together learning from both into one standalone project/task.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

The Directors of Public Health across all 15 local authorities taking part in this Regional Programme are committed to make every effort to find suitable positions for trainees at the end of the scheme, within either their own organisations or the wider regional health system.
