The role will be to learn the fundamentals of the systems we install, beginning with understanding the theory and learning/doing physical installation work.

LAN networks form the foundation of our systems and are a large part of what we do, but the role will also be aimed at developing equal knowledge of the all the systems we do.

Once you have a solid understanding of the theory and installation skills, the role will develop into the software part of system setup with many further options to grow into more senior roles.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
  • Guided training/self-learning
  • Assisting other engineers with installations
  • Office based pre-installation/setup of equipment

  • Good ability to find and learn information
  • Basic knowledge of computer networking
  • Ability to use hand tools (space for learning)

  • Organised - everything we do needs to be documented well

  • Attention to detail - there are many small things which add to up to a successful whole

Desired qualifications

•5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)
