CNTW inpatient services in the border city of Carlisle are currently looking to recruit individuals who are keen to work in dynamic ward environments at Carleton Clinic, with colleagues who are supportive and inspiring, along with senior leaders who will allow you the freedom to be innovative and to embrace new challenges. We are looking for a Specialist Nurse who can demonstrate transformational leadership to a specialist, multi-disciplinary team.

We have opportunities available across our Acute Admission Adult services, our Older Adult Acute Mental Health unit, our Specialist Learning Disability Inpatient Service and our Inpatient Dementia Assessment and Treatment unit. The role combines clinical leadership for the team and the development of the service. The post holder will work alongside the team manager, supervise staff and liaise with multiple agencies. They will take a lead in teaching and sharing good practice within CNTW.

You will be supported through ongoing mentoring and training, to develop skills and further your career aspirations. You will form part of a committed inpatient ward team working alongside supportive colleagues as part of our collective leadership team. The post holder will be expected to demonstrate excellent clinical skills in working with adults with complex mental health difficulties and managing the associated risks.

As an Inpatient CBU we are always striving to improve and develop our services and you could be part of this. You must be able to demonstrate that you have a strong commitment to high quality client care, good organisational skills and can prioritise your workload. Alongside MDT colleagues you will be key in supporting the care and treatment of our service users to promote recovery and making a difference to those you work with and alongside. We are looking for enthusiastic, skilled and creative nurses to support the safe, caring and effective delivery of our services.

Due to government legislation all patient facing employees must have received both COVID19 immunisations. Whilst this legislation does not come into force until April 1st, the Trust has made the decision to make this a condition of employment prior to this time.
