About the apprenticeship

Duties

Assist to update & implement Pia's standard operating procedures (SOP) to ensure that Pia upholds the principles of the ISO9001 & ISO27001 Systems.
Provide an excellent & professional customer experience to existing & future customers
Support the work of the customer management team to promote the work of Pia & its products to generate new business & to maintain its reputation of being the UK's leading independent accessible format provider
Assist the Customer Management Team colleagues to carry out sales & marketing activities
Assist with the implementation of relevant & regular sales and marketing activities
Assist to update Pia's SOP, working with colleagues across Pia to develop new & existing procedures with the aim to maintain the ISO9001 & the ISO27001 Systems
Maintain & establish a rapport with potential & current customers to attract & retain business
Provide an excellent & professional customer experience to existing & future customers
Assist the Customer Management Team to provide quotes & ordered to customers within agreed timeframes & with the highest level of accuracy
Keep an up to date record of all marketing data in line with data protection requirements
Consistently demonstrate confidentiality & discretion when dealing with internal & external customers
Assist the Customer Management Team to regularly update Pia's social media channels
Promote the values of Pia & demonstrate the highest level of commitment to equalities

Additional information

Promote and adhere to all company Health & Safety policies & procedures
To undertake any other reasonable duties required to meet the needs of the business

Who can apply?

To be eligible to apply you:

  • will be at least 16 years of age at the time of making your application
  • will not be in full-time education (you can apply while still attending school/college/university but will have finished or intend to finish your studies by the time your apprenticeship starts)
  • will need to meet the Civil Service Nationality requirements to apply.

ALS eligibility

Please note that ALS our training providers have their own eligibility in order to provide the funding required to undertake an apprenticeship. You may not be eligible to apply if:

  • you already hold a qualification at Level 3 or above in ICT, Software, Web and Telecoms or a similar subject
  • you already hold a qualification at Level 3 or above in Business Administration, Customer Service or a similar subject

What are the benefits?  

How much will I be paid?

You will earn £19,240 a year while training. When you pass your apprenticeship you can apply for a permanent job at the Welsh Government. Within 2 years of starting your apprenticeship you could be earning £22,500. 

You will get 31 days holidays as well as 10 public and privilege days. We offer flexible working arrangements to help you get the right work/life balance. You will also be eligible for membership of the Civil Service Pension Scheme
