Spectrum Community Health CIC is an innovative, not-for-profit social enterprise providing award-winning, high quality healthcare services across the North of England, within Health & Justice, community Integrated Sexual Health services, and community Substance Misuse Services.

We are seeking experienced GPs, who are passionate about primary care and healthcare innovation to provide care to a small cohort of vulnerable, socially excluded women. Services will be based in a new, bespoke, female only Immigration Removal center located in Derwentside, Consett County Durham. These substantive posts are part-time and encompass an opportunity to introduce a degree of flexible working for the successful candidate/s. Posts are substantive and attract all the benefits of NHS employment including NHS pension and time served enhancements.

As this is a new service you will have an opportunity to influence the development of the healthcare model and the development of a multi-disciplinary team supporting women at the IRC.

Previous experience working with vulnerable groups with language barriers and/or within a secure environment is desirable but not essential as full induction and training will be provided. Experience of working with migrant groups and experience in Health Inclusion to implement a trauma informed/Inclusive health care modelwill be an asset to this role.

Critical to this post are the alignment of values to those of Spectrum and personal and professional attributes of compassionate leadership, an enthusiasm for the delivery of clinically effective, evidence based, high quality, health care. A desire to innovate and support new ways of working as part of a transformative integrated provider team would be welcome.

Line managed and supported by a Regional Lead GP, you will have access to continuing professional development in support of appraisal and revalidation through our GP forum. As a senior leader you will have access to a full induction and a range of ongoing professional support, coaching and development opportunities including Spectrum's own ILM accredited leadership and management programme.

In addition, there is access to specialist research and educational supervision opportunities through our Research Directorate and medical education departments.

The post holder will be expected to undertake safeguarding training (Children and Adults) appropriate to their role and adhere to policies and procedures relevant to the area they work in.
