What will the apprentice be doing?
We have opportunities for apprentices to join two of our EDF teams:
The type of activities you could be involved in include: performing security design reviews of Operational and Information Technology systems, identifying threats, designing secure systems and managing intrusion responses.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You'll follow the Cyber Security Technical Professional Standard
Upon completion, learners gain a BSc (Hons) degree from the University of Gloucestershire.
Tuition is delivered in week long periods. You'll study elements of the degree during time at work. You can find out more about the course on the Gloucestershire College website
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Once you've completed the apprenticeship, you'll have a BSc (Hons) Cyber Security Technical Professional Degree from Gloucestershire College or QA (industry leading tech training and skills provider), as well as experience with EDF (UK).
Alongside this, you will work towards gaining your accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Information Security Professionals. That means you'll be in the best possible position to continue your career as a qualified Cyber Security Engineer.
