Duties will include:
  • Provide 1stLine Support for IT issues around the school, troubleshooting AV problems, printing problems, as well providing support to staff and students
  • To maintain and update the schools website where and when required
  • Provide 2ndline support, identify problems and be able to troubleshoot issues until a resolution is found
  • To assist the Trust Network Manager in administering and maintaining the schools IT systems
  • Maintaining all IT hardware, ensuring all devices work and that any faulty device is repaired or replaced within an acceptable time frame
  • Monitoring the network and reporting any issues to the Trust Network Manager
  • Configure and install all new hardware and software
  • Contribute useful and accurate content to our IT knowledge base
  • To maintain regular backups and security of data
  • To keep abreast of new technologies and suggest improvements
  • To be able to work independently and complete IT projects
  • To develop a supportive relationship with staff and students


Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Good communication skills
  • Relevant experience in an IT and/or networking related role
  • Experience in a technical support environment
  • Full and valid UK driving licence +roadworthy car with valid insurance allowing you to travel for business work

Technical knowledge of:
  • WAN and LAN networking technologies
  • Fault finding and technical troubleshooting
  • Networking infrastructure -switching, routing and firewall

  • Must have GCSE pass grades or equivalent in English and maths
  • Must have IT specific qualification at either A-level or Level 3 apprenticeshipor other relevant qualifications
