"We love social workers"

Yes, we know that's a bold statement to make.

But join our adult social care team in locations around Cambridgeshire and you'll quickly find out we mean it.

Our social workers do all they can to make the lives of our residents better. And that's exactly what we aim to do for our social workers.

We asked our team members how we make their lives better and here's some of what they said:
"We structure caseloads around you"
"We give you the chance for job rotation"
"We champion creative problem-solving"
"We offer strong supervision"

We aren't what you might think a typical local government organisation looks like. We understand the work you do on a daily basis and we provide the support you need to make a difference to the residents of Cambridgeshire.

You could benefit from a relocation package of up to £8,000, generous annual leave entitlement and pension scheme, flexible working, and excellent training and career progression.

But most importantly you will be part of a team that will have your back.

We currently have openings for Social Workers and Senior Social Workers in a range of areas including:

Transfer of Care (Cambridge - Addenbrookes Hospital and Huntingdon - Hinchingbrooke)

Physical Disability Team (St Ives)

Older People's Service: Cambridge, Ely, Fenland and Huntingdon)

Learning Disabilities Team (Cambridge, Toft and Huntingdon)

Adults and Autism Team (St Ives)

Young Adults (St Ives)

Mental Health Services

If you like the sound of moving to an authority where Social Workers are truly valued, get in touch with us today by calling Hannah on 01223 699263 or emailing [email protected].

Oh, and if you're wondering whether Cambridgeshire really does love its social workers, we'll arrange for you to speak to a member of our team to see if our boldness is justified.

This is a rolling campaign and we will review applications daily so please don't wait for the closing date to apply, we want to speak to you now!

IMPORTANT: Some of these roles will require you to enter the premises of a CQC-registered care home as part of your employment. Appointment to this post will be subject to the outcome of an Enhanced Disclosure obtained through the Disclosure and Barring Service. The Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We are proud to serve the diverse communities of Cambridgeshire and want our workforce to be reflective of this diversity, which we believe benefits our employees, the organisation and our communities.
