Duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Operate a full range of property management instructions on a variety of commercial properties, including offices, retail and industrial
  • Our clients are principally large institutional firms (pension funds, insurance companies etc.) and property companies
  • Full management of rental and other income including tenant indebtedness
  • Provide support and assistance to clients in connection with value enhancement opportunities including rent reviews, lettings and lease renewal programs
  • Reporting to and working with clients on tenure and physical improvements to properties which will have positive financial effects
  • Dealing with tenant applications for consent to assign, sublet and alter
  • Arranging and undertaking property inspections
  • Ensuring tenants' compliance with lease obligations in relation to use and maintenance obligations
  • Preparation and administration of service charge expenditure
  • Overseeing the provision of common services to properties and tenants
  • Ensuring compliance with legislation including Health and Safety and other regulations
  • Assisting clients in the acquisition and disposal of properties
  • Working with landlords and tenants on all other matters relating to the clients' property portfolio
  • Supervising, directing and maintaining up to date records for site-based staff
  • Other ad hoc duties as and when required

Qualifications and experience:
  • 5+ years of experience working as a Property Administrator within Workman LLP
  • Broad knowledge of the main duties and responsibilities of an experienced Property Management Surveyor
  • Positive and can-do attitude
  • Excellent communication skills with gravitas amongst clients and tenants
  • Team player
  • Ambitious and eager to learn
  • Ability to provide high quality customer service

Desired qualifications

For standard entry applicants, must have obtained 96 UCAS tariff points (2017 Tariff) or 230 UCAS tariff points (2016 Tariff) or have an equivalent level of attainment through recognised qualifications not included in the UCAS Tariff(or equivalent)


Have completed an Advanced Apprenticeship in Surveying or an Advanced Apprenticeship in Construction Technical through which a Construction and Built Environment Diploma with a minimum DD profile was obtained or through which a Construction and Built Environment Extended Diploma with a minimum MMM profile was obtained, or an equivalent qualification


Have a current RICS Associate qualification (AssocRICS)(or equivalent)


Have GCSEs at grades C/4 or above (or equivalent) in maths and English or an equivalent Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics as defined by the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) in England.

Recognised qualifications having an equivalent level of attainment as those recognised by UCAS include: Higher National Certificate (HNC), Higher National Diploma (HND), professional qualifications from recognised institutions, certain armed forces qualifications and partially completed degrees.

Future prospects

Apprentices who demonstrate excellent potential will be offered permanent roles.
