Graduate engineering technicians will complete a broad spectrum of placements throughout the business in the UK whilst also having the possibility for placements abroad. Placements cover many aspects of the business such as:
- Toolroom Processes
- Supplier liaison/problem solving
- Maintenance Planning
- Series Planning
- Manufacturing process and facility planning (Both electrical and mechanical)
- Metrology - computer aided measurement and analysis
- Logistics Planning (Automatic Guided Vehicles)
- Production Processes & Planning
The placements give you the chance to experience the business as a whole whilst carrying out business relevant projects alongside your study. You will have the opportunity to workfor a world-class global automotive manufacturer, networking with people of different nationalities and havingthe opportunity to put theory directly into practice.
In your first year, you will undertake practical training as well as working towards a Level 3 BTEC Award in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and a NVQ Level 4 in Engineering and Manufacturing. You will be expected to successfully complete an honours degree in Engineering during years 2 - 4 of your apprenticeship which is fully funded by the company.
