Main duties and responsibilities:
  • Analyse component requirements and produce component design
  • Produce and maintain design documentation
  • Appropriate storage of documentation and source code for components
  • Develop and release components for integration
  • Review other developers' code and design work
  • Integrate components with others (as appropriate)
  • Review external documentation i.e., installation and user guides
  • Unit test any components developed
  • Answer queries raised and fixes bugs
  • Component testing on multiple platforms and integration testing of own components with others, if relevant to the particular development work being tested
  • Assist with integration and performance testing as required
  • Provide detailed product support for own components
  • Provide general support for overall product to internal testers and external clients

Desired qualifications

112 UCAS points from A-Levels or Level 3 BTEC (ideally including IT or Computer Science) or completion of a Level 3 IT apprenticeship (or equivalent).
