What will the apprentice be doing?

The desired candidates will be hardworking, honest, dependable and self-motivated in order to uphold the ethos, aims and values of the Trust.

Every day is different in a school. Day to day duties consist of planning, preparing lessons, ensuring students are engaged and fully active in the lessons, as well as dealing with administration issues and managing behaviour

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

This vacancy is initially for a fixed contract of twelve to thirteen months and on completion of the apprenticeship training leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

The sucessful applicant will be employed four days in school and attend a core training session at the Kingsbridge training centre in Platt bridge, Wigan for core weekly training.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

In addition to working towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) on successful completion of the course, you will also complete an end point assessment (EPA) in the autumn term to consolidate your initial teacher training learning.

Following the learner will go onto begin a career in teaching as a Early Career Teacher in schools and benefit from further professional development.
