What you'll be doing:
  • Focussing on developing your own area of expertise, learning Drupal and other open source technologies
  • Participating in briefing sessions, code reviews and project planning
  • Shadowing experienced developers on larger projects
  • Supporting existing clients with application fixes, upgrades and improvements
  • Creating technical documentation to explain what your code does, and how it affects the wider project
  • Learning about the wider business and how strategy, design, user experience and development create the end product

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Carry out maintenance tasks including security updates, module configuration, and small work orders
  • Manage inbound calls from existing customers
  • Ensure work is completed within agreed deadlines to a high level of satisfaction
  • Liaise with clients via phone/video/email to provide updates and troubleshoot
  • Create and coordinate quote information for larger pieces of maintenance work and non maintenance work
  • Communicate timescales to clients
  • Ensure ticketing system is kept up to date and work is actioned within agreed SLAs
  • Ensure timesheets are completed on a daily basis and accurately recorded against tasks
  • Record at least minimum required CPD hours

  • An interest in Software Engineering or Computer Science
  • But, most importantly, you'll have a passion for technology, problem-solving and the ambition to develop yourself and your skillset

Desired qualifications

  • Candidates for the Degree Apprenticeship preferred to have a minimum of 104 points at A2 (Grades BCC) or an equivalent e.g. BTEC DMM
  • You will also require maths and English Language GCSE grade A*-C / 9-4


Future prospects

  • Very likely to be retained within the development team, probably as a junior/mid weight developer
