Summary of the site

Sheffield & Long Eaton Day Services are mixed gender services, specialised in supporting adults with a primary diagnosis of a learning disability, in addition to those with complex health needs and physical disabilities and those with autism.

Our Day Services have a focus on demonstrating outcomes and value through activities. Our staffing model provides one member of staff for every two people as a minimum. This allows us to deliver a meaningful activity plan for each person.

Our services are led by three key disciplines: occupational therapy, physiotherapy and speech and language therapy. Our multidisciplinary approach allows us to develop a clear and focused activity plan that works towards maximising an individual's potential.

Occupational Therapy Directorate

Under the leadership of our occupational therapy directors we support over 150 Occupational Therapists. Working together as a large team we provide support to each other across the group, with the opportunity to be part of specialist interest groups & become involved in service development.

Every service line has a clinical lead occupational therapist to lead and develop evidence based practice and agreed occupational therapy pathway.

We ensure our occupational therapists have a voice through participating in service model development, utilising the expertise and support of our clinical lead occupational therapists.
