Pharmacist

York Medical Group are a large, inner city practice their own Primary Care Network serving a population of 44,000 over 8 sites and consider themselves as a forward thinking, innovative and driven team of professionals meeting the demands of patient care. We have a diversified workforce made up of GPs, ANPs, UCPs, Nurses, Assistant Practitioners, Health Care Assistants, Care Coordinators, Link Workers and Mental Health Workers.
Even though the Covid pandemic has turned our 'normal practice' upside down, we are continuing to plan for the future and are committed to providing a friendly, open and supportive environment where our staff feel valued, safe, appreciated and comfortable with sharing ideas which could improve and diversify our services further.
We are now looking to increase our existing team and are looking for a motivated, friendly, experienced Pharmacist to assist in managing and promoting the repeat dispensing service within the group, increasing safety mechanisms such as audit and PDSA cycles, implement drug withdrawals and alerts, reduce inappropriate poly-pharmacy and wasteful prescribing through clinical medical review, contribute to reductions in medication related hospital admissions and re-admissions by supporting patients to get the best outcome from their medicines and identifying and addressing medicine related issues whilst supporting the training and management of the Pharmacy Assistants and Technicians.
The successful candidate will be expected to be flexible, have a positive outlook, be approachable and friendly and have a good sense of humour.
We offer 6 weeks annual leave, automatic enrolment into the NHS pension scheme and encourage and support further personal development.
