Maintenance Electrician

We require a Maintenance Electrician to work in the Estates Department to undertake all aspects of electrical engineering work and support the Estates Department in providing a customer-focused service.

You will be based at Warrington Hospital, however, you will be required to work at Warrington and Halton sites, carrying out duties across the Trust and community premises. A driving licence and own transport is required.

Reporting to the Senior / Estates Officers, you will assist in the maintenance and provision of electrical services to the Trust's buildings, plant and estate. This includes all electrical distribution, generators, fire alarms, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, medical gases, BMS, water systems and decontamination equipment. A keen approach is required to compliance with Health & Safety legislation.

You will be a fully qualified Electrician, ideally holding a City and Guilds / NVQ or equivalent qualification and significant post-apprenticeship experience in a similar field.

Depending on the classification of the post, in-line with DBS guidelines, a Standard or Enhanced disclosure will be required which may include a check of the 'Vulnerable Adults List', the 'Children's List' and/or the Independent Safeguarding Authorities (ISA's) barred lists.

A charge of £60 (Enhanced) will be made by the successful candidate which will be deducted from the first 3 months' salary. In addition to this, you will also be required to re-pay any future costs that may arise in relation to DBS fees.
