What will the apprentice be doing?
As a key member of our fast-growing and diverse audit team, you will be working across a range of audit projects with clients of all sectors and sizes, performing both audit and accounts preparation assignments. Main duties include:
Preparation of company accounts and corporation tax returns
Compiling audit evidence through communication and interaction with client
Adherence to budgets, bringing matters to the attention of the Manager where relevant
Developing and strengthening existing client relationships through proactive and professional behaviour
Adding value to clients' businesses through identifying opportunities where we can assist/support
Undertaking training/development as required by the Firm
Ad hoc assignments
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Support will be provided towards completion of the ACA qualification through a Level 7 Apprenticeship. Training is completed via Kaplan or First Intuition and will be classroom based.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Once the ACA qualification is successfully completed, and all relevant skills and experience met trainees will move in to a Senior Auditor role, with the opportunity to progress to a Supervisor role and beyond.

Things to consider
Ideally applicants will be able to drive and have access to a vehicle, as the role involves regularly working at client premises in the Yorkshire region.
