What will the apprentice be doing?
You will be based at Long Ashton in Bristol, with opportunities to travel across the UK and potentially abroad. Depending on your placement your typical day could range from carrying out external supplier inspections to looking for efficiencies or problem solving on our production shop floor to the administration of internal and external audits.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Whilst working you will attend one 2 hour training module per week which will be delivered virtually by our training provider. These interactive sessions will be with one to one coaching support. In addition to studying for your apprenticeship you will also receive training and experience in the full range of quality tools and will undertake Lean Awareness training and the Yellow Belt qualification. All apprentices will also achieve Associate Membership of the Chartered Quality Institute.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
The aim of the apprenticeship is to prepare you for a permanent Quality role working as an Assistant Quality Technician within Babcock. We are also committed to supporting further development of our ex-apprentices through further education and technical training.

Qualifications
GCSE or equivalent 5 subjects including Maths and English (Grade C/4 or higher) Essential
A Level or equivalent 3 subjects (Maths and Science desirable) (Grade C or above) Essential
