What will the apprentice be doing?

An exciting opportunity to join a vibrant, busy and growing department which offers services including year-end accounts and tax production, as well as a multitude of other business advisory services.

Main Duties include

· Drafting statutory accounts for limited companies and year end accounts for sole traders and partnerships.

· Drafting corporation tax computations for companies and business tax computations for unincorporated businesses.

· Assisting with ad-hoc financial matters including Companies House returns.

Preparing accounts packs for approval by clients and submitting approved accounts to Companies House and tax returns to HMRC.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Apprentices will begin with the AAT Advanced level and once this has been successfully completed they will move on to the AAT Professional level. The full AAT qualification will be completed in a period of approximately 3 years.

Training will be undertaken with First Intuition at their Leeds office with courses typically running one day per week.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

On successful completion of the AAT qualification trainees generally tend to move on to a level 7 Apprenticeship, being either ACCA or ACA, with both qualifications running for a period of 3 years.
