What will the apprentice be doing?
Working with leading cloud-based accounting technology successful candidates will become proficient in the use of Xero and key finance functions add-ons such as Dext and Approval Max. Main Duties include:
Maintaining accounting records for a portfolio of clients on a real time basis utilising cloud-based software and add ons.
Working collaboratively with clients to ensure the information is complete and correctly categorised.
Reconciling data to ensure the financial information is accurate, up to date and can be relied upon by the client.
Preparation of VAT returns.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Apprentices will begin with the AAT Advanced level and once this has been successfully completed they will move on to the AAT Professional level. The full AAT qualification will be completed in a period of approximately 3 years.
Training will be undertaken with First Intuition at their Leeds office with courses typically running one day per week.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
On successful completion of the AAT qualification trainees generally tend to move on to a level 7 Apprenticeship, being either ACCA or ACA, with both qualifications running for a period of 3 years.
