What will the apprentice be doing?

As a Support Accountant you will gain significant knowledge in accounting, processing receipts and invoices, cash management, management accounts and statutory returns, all delivered through the cloud.
You will also learn how to on board clients and register them with HMRC.
The day to day duties will include:
Cloud setup and software integration into accounting software for streamlined accounting (i.e. Hubdoc, Dext and Xero)
Processing invoices and receipts using data capture apps
Prepare management accounts, VAT returns etc.
Draft job aids to increase efficiency
Communication with HMRC
Supporting team members with more complex accounting scenarios
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
As an Accounting Apprentice with BPP, you will complete the Professional Accountancy Taxation Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship. Within the apprenticeship you will undertake the ACCA certificate level professional qualification.
The apprenticeship will be completed at a BPP centre or via the Online Classroom platform, in addition to at the workplace.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
The apprentice will be a part-qualified acccountant.
