Duties
The Trade Centre UK are now recruiting for an Apprentice Vehicle / PDI Technician for the fastest growing brand in the automotive sector. The region's most successful used car supermarket is looking for a thorough, focused and keen apprentice to work in a dynamic team environment.

The role:
Job shadowing to learn how to carry out full pre-delivery inspection on all vehicles
Diagnosing and find faulting on a wide variety of vehicles
Completing inspections to the highest standard as experience develops and responsibilities increase
A dynamic, varied role in a state of the art facility
Any other tasks as required whilst maintaining compliance with H&S policies/procedures and all SOPs
Whilst in full-time employment you will undertake the following qualifications:
VCQ Diploma in Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Competence
VRQ Diploma in Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Principles (Motor Vehicle 4270/4290 Series)
Essential Skills in Application of Number, Communication and Digital Literacy
Additional information
Before applying for this position please ensure you are able to travel to and from the place of employment in Mt Ash and to the XR Training Centre in Pyle once a week. You will be employed full-time as an apprentice by this company based in Mt Ash. You will be enrolled onto a level 2 foundation apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle Maintenance.

Who can apply?
To be eligible to apply you:

- will not be in full-time education (you can apply while still attending school/college/university but will have finished or intend to finish your studies by the time your apprenticeship starts)
- will need to meet the Civil Service Nationality requirements to apply.
ALS eligibility
Please note that ALS our training providers have their own eligibility in order to provide the funding required to undertake an apprenticeship. You may not be eligible to apply if:
- you already hold a qualification at Level 3 or above in ICT, Software, Web and Telecoms or a similar subject
- you already hold a qualification at Level 3 or above in Business Administration, Customer Service or a similar subject
What are the benefits?
How much will I be paid?
You will earn £19,240 a year while training. When you pass your apprenticeship you can apply for a permanent job at the Welsh Government. Within 2 years of starting your apprenticeship you could be earning £22,500.
You will get 31 days holidays as well as 10 public and privilege days. We offer flexible working arrangements to help you get the right work/life balance. You will also be eligible for membership of the Civil Service Pension Scheme
