At The Limes, you'll work 37.5 hours a week providing care for people with personality disorders and mental illness in a diverse service that promotes increased independence and community living.

With experience from the NHS and/or private sector, you will be responsible for managing a complex caseload, which will see you provide assessments, planning, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes of occupational treatments and programmes for people with severe and enduring mental health conditions.

Working with the wider multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the development of the occupational therapy service, which will see you carrying out service development projects as directed by the Head Occupational Therapist.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will create individual rapports to design and deliver facilitated evidence-based group and individual programmes based on their needs and interest to ensure

With a strong emphasis on teamwork, you'll receive support from a regional network of healthcare professionals and enjoy access to a variety of online and CPD training courses to support you reach your career goals.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • To be registered OT with Dip COT qualification or degree
  • Experience working with people with mental health needs
  • Strong knowledge of best practices within Mental Health
  • Knowledge and practical experience of the Occupational Therapy process in a mental health setting
  • Experience, knowledge and skill in supervising OT staff and students
  • To have undertaken training in risk assessment and risk management planning (desirable)
  • Experience, knowledge and skill of the Model of Human Occupation (desirable)
  • Experience, knowledge and skill in community rehabilitation and recovery approaches i.e. interventions to support vocational and educational aspirations and social inclusion (desirable)
