Vaccination as a Condition of Deployment (VCOD) for Healthcare Workers

Candidates offered a role with the Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust , who are aged 18 and over and who will have direct, face to face contact with service users as part of their role will be required to evidence that they have received a complete course of an approved COVID-19 vaccine, subject to limited exceptions, by no later than 1 April 2022. This will include front-line workers, as well as non-clinical workers not directly involved in patient care but who nevertheless may have direct, face to-face contact with patients, such as receptionists, ward clerks, porters and cleaners.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 4 Assistant Therapy Practitioner within the well-established Specialist Learning Disability Occupational Therapy team in the West of Hertfordshire.

The role will involve working with individuals to provide intervention to support in enabling increased independence in all aspects of self-care, productivity and leisure, working with clients to increase their skills, confidence and motivation. Alongside working with their support systems to demonstrate how best to support the individual.

You will have the opportunity to strengthen and develop skills and experience in activity promotion, whilst considering the specialist areas such as Sensory Integration and Positive Behaviour Support with guidance from qualified staff. You will also receive regular clinical supervision (from an Occupational Therapist).

The role requires a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who can demonstrate an interest in working with this client group from previous experiences. You will need to have excellent communication, flexibility and organisational skills.

If you are medically exempt you will still need to provide a domestic NHS COVID Pass which will evidence exempt status.

Applicants due to start from 3rd February 2022 will also need to provide evidence that they have had their 1st Jab ahead of this date. This is in order to ensure that candidates do not start where there is no prospect of completing the full course of an approved COVID-19 vaccine by 1 April 2022.
