Motion have enjoyed success recently both due to growth in our existing clients and winning new client business. This has generated an opportunity for a new team member to join us and take on this exciting role, contributing to different aspects of our digital output while also training both on the job and online with https://thedevelopmentmanager.com/. The training will be flexible but will account for 1 day each week and normally continues for 3 years resulting in an BSc on successful completion.

Our customers include a Nordics optics manufacturer, a European software development group, a UK based industrial distributor, a global manufacturer of commercial technology and a global engineering solution provider. You can see details of some motion projects on our website and this role will involve working with a wide range of clients, as well as SMEs embarking on their first serious marketing venture.

The role of Digital Marketing Apprentice gives the opportunity to contribute across a range of activities including content creation (copy and layout), organic and paid leads, social media, website build and maintainence, plus digital strategy. The successful candidate will be mentored by a senior consultant but also working closely with our digital marketing lead and will have a great opportunity to learn from our specialist team. An ability to grasp technical concepts is important when working in our markets and strong English skills is also important.

There is significant support for the successful applicant in terms of technical and marketing content and we operate very much as a team, helping each other to deliver.

Key responsibilities:
  • To produce work in line with briefs received including accurate information and clear communications both written and visual. This may be content for blogs, web pages, digital channels and social media.
  • To contribute ideas and concepts for communicating the message to the consultants
  • Research SEO keywords and propose focus phrases, incorporating them into web pages.
  • Setup, monitor and manage paid campaigns including creation of client reports
  • Building web pages primarily in Wordpress
  • Assessing websites and other digital activities and proposing strategies to enhance.
  • Timely delivery of work with strong spelling and grammar.
  • Have an understanding of all the aspects of Motion's services in order to work effectively with the team.

Essential skills / experience:
  • Ability to grasp technical concepts and communicate the client benefits.
  • Organisation skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong English Language
  • A self-motivated approach, as well as an enjoyment of working in teams.
  • A passion for creating content both written and visual.
  • Some work experience or marketing specific training

Desirable skills / experience:
  • Knowledge of marketing in general
  • Experience of websites and digital channels


Personal qualities

  • A passion for gaining an understanding of what delivers success for our clients is part of our makeup and will be a great advantage in this role


Desired qualifications

  • To be eligible to study for a Degree, typically candidates will have achieved grade C/4 or above in at least five GCSEs including English and maths, and at least two A levels or equivalent Level 3 qualifications
  • Candidates may have previously been in a Digital Marketer role or be able to demonstrate a real passion and personal experience in digital marketing
