What will the apprentice be doing?
Day to day tasks could include:
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Off-the-job training will be provided by the University College of Estate Management (UCEM). You will achieve a Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accredited BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying. Rather than attending formal lectures or classes, you'll study using UCEM's state-of-the-art online learning environment and digital library, supported with guidance from highly experienced tutors.
Upon completion of the BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying and the structured workplace learning you will undertake the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence leading to registration with the RICS as a Chartered Surveyor.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
We are a young, progressive company and there are currently 5 offices, so there will be the opportunity to progress within the company.

Things to consider
Mix of office working and site visits Some early starts / late finishes Working on projects / visiting sites that are outside the Leeds region Attention to detail is important Some days will be spent looking at a laptop all day
Day to day tasks could include:
- Attending site and meetings
- Computation checking
- Preparing meeting minutes
- Reading design reports and interpreting information
- Measurement and production of cost estimates
- Learning about projects and what is happening through the lifetime of a project
- Preparing and updating Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, and using specialist software
- Learning about Dalbergia - Best Practice, Health & Safety, company employee requirements
- Ad-hoc tasks
