The opportunity

This is your chance to lead the creation of great products and services as part of an award-winning British Gas team.

Who we're looking for

Graduates who enjoy a challenge and aren't afraid to be pushed outside their comfort zone. You'll also need:
  • Minimum 2:1 degree (2:2 if combined with a Master's)
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Customer focus combined with a good understanding of how to deliver commercial value

What you'll be doing

Centrica is a leading energy and services supplier. We keep millions of homes and businesses running and work hard to support the changing needs of our customers. Join us, on our Commercial Marketing Graduate Programme, and you can help tackle some of the most important challenges we are facing, now and in the future.

You'll progress through a series of four placements, designed to help you develop a broad understanding of how to market British Gas products and brands. Some of the questions you'll be asking along the way include: Is British Gas delivering what people need? What should our message be to customers in homes and businesses throughout Britain? How can we ensure we continue to do the right thing with so much change impacting the energy sector and the markets we operate in?

Your placements

The programme kicks off with a three-month stint in one of our customer contract centres where you'll experience life on the frontline with one of our brands. For the next three placements, you'll contribute to high-profile projects across our business while working in various commercial marketing roles.

Your responsibilities could range all the way from gathering customer insight to developing material for TV and social media campaigns. And there will be plenty of opportunities for you to enhance your commercial awareness and develop your leadership and business management skills.

Please note: we may have to bring the deadline for this programme forward due its popularity, so we encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
