Job summary

BlueMoon Solutions Limited is the perfect partner for the UK’s small and medium-sized businesses, providing every aspect of computer hardware and software support as well as Cloud Services. They now require a customer-focused Apprentice IT Support Technician to join their team.

BlueMoon Solutions are looking for an IT literate and driven individual who pays great attention to detail to join their experienced team. BlueMoon Solutions has promised that the successful candidate will be supported by the office members who each have a wealth of experience to back them up.

Roles and Responsibilities:

General Office Administration:

  • Communication with customer throughout process via telephone and email
  • Logging / Allocating support tickets on help desk system
  • General office duties
  • Contribute to Quality Management System (ISO9001)
  • Contribute to Team Meetings

IT Support (remote and on-site):

  • Setting up of user accounts / email accounts
  • Setting up user desktops / laptops to required standard
  • Setting up of printers and other required peripheral devices
  • Managing Proactive support monitoring system, dealing with alerts or escalating issues where appropriate
  • Problem investigation and diagnosis
  • Creation or updating of key support documentation
  • Escalation of problems where appropriate

Documentation:

  • Updating and closing support tickets on help desk system
  • Creation or updating of key support documentation
  • Creation and distribution of official quotations for new hardware/software/services

This is a fantastic opportunity to further your IT skills and learn from a highly-experienced team. You will also be working towards a widely-recognised level 2 Qualification in IT with the potential opportunity to progress onto the Level 3 Qualification after successful completion of the Level 2.

Working week

  • Mon-Fri, 9am-5:30pm (1 hour lunch break) Total hours per week: 37.50

Desired Qualifications

  • If you do not have Maths and English GCSE grades A*-C (or equivalent) we will support you to achieve Functional Skills in those subjects.

  • Permanent role available at the end of the Apprenticeship providing the successful candidate continues to impress throughout the course

Training to be provided

  • Level 2 NVQ in IT with the opportunity to move onto the Level 3 Qualification
  • Functional Skills in maths and English if required
