Veritas is currently working with a well established co-ed secondary school based in Hounslow. The school are looking for a dedicated Chemistry graduate to work as a Teaching assistant, particularly those with an interest in persuing a career in teaching. The candidate will join the SEN department within the mainstream school. The role will involve supporting KS3 and KS4 students and also working 1:1 with a year 12 student, supporting her at KS5 level in Chemistry (A level)

The candidate will be supporting SEN students with Autism, Dyslexia and also learning and communication difficulties, so an understanding of SEN and an empathetic nature is essential. You will be responsible for improving social skills and also monitoring behaviour.

The school is located close to various local bus routes and is a short distance from a mainline train station. There is also plenty of free on road parking near the school.

Key skills and experience needed:

* Graduate recently with a science degree (ideally Chemistry)
* Achieved A or B in Chemistry at A level.
* Experience working with children or young adults with SEN
* A firm presence and strong behaviour management
* Professional manner and enthusiastic
* Resilient and patient
