Are you fascinated by technology, IT and data?
Do you want to gain a qualification, whilst working and earning a full-time salary?
Are you patient, willing to learn and enjoy multi-taking?
If you’re an A-level (*or equivalent) student considering your options beyond the traditional University route - this could be for you!
Start your career at Experian as an IT Apprentice!
In this role you'll gain foundation knowledge by starting in one key area. Then over the course of your apprenticeship we’ll exposure you to the remaining areas helping you understand how IT & infrastructure intertwine.
This could be in elements such as:
· Monitoring the health of application environments and recognising when there are issues occurring
· Resolving incidents, fulfil service requests and perform root cause analysis
· Collaborating with members of other teams when more complex issues occur
· Deploying application upgrades and/or patches
· Development of scripts to automate tasks
· Generating and performing testing tasks for changes which can’t be automated
You’ll also get to develop your soft skills learning how to log incidents, problem solve, and eventually fix IT issues across the organisation.
In this apprenticeship you will be studying towards a L4 DevOps Qualification – funded & paid for by Experian.
What is DevOps you say? In short, DevOps is the union of people, processes and technology to continually provide value to customers. It’s short for Software Development (Dev) and IT Operations (Ops).
Upon completion of your Apprenticeship, you’ll then unlock progressive career opportunities moving into various technical career pathways driven by your interests.
Experian will support you the entire way, pay for your Degree Qualification and provide an extensive induction programme to help you adjust to the work/study balance.
If you choose to join us, you can expect industry training, wide-reaching career opportunities and a wealth of support through our Early Careers Network, buddy, line manager & mentor scheme.
We promise a safe inclusive culture that brings out the best of you. Experian is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and we take affirmative action to create a more inclusive and equitable world of work. We are committed to equal employment opportunities regardless of age, disability, gender identity, marital status, race, ethnicity, faith or belief, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, Veteran status or whether you’re pregnant or on family leave.
Our concept is simple. We believe in expanding horizons – it’s what makes Experian a global leader and a Top UK Tech Employer.
To enroll onto the Level 4 DevOps Apprenticeship, students must hold:
· 96 UCAS Points (Equivalent to x3 C’s at A-level)
· One of these must be in a STEM subject (Maths / IT / Technology)
· You can also apply if you have completed a BTEC Diploma in IT
We look for driven, reliable students eager to take on real responsibility
If successful you will undertake your Level 4 DevOps Apprenticeship through block release.
We’ll support you the entire way, pay for your qualification and provide an extensive induction programme to help you adjust to the work/study balance. You’ll also become part of our Early Careers Network and connect with hundreds of other individuals across Experian.
