Employer Description:

DISConsulting IT Ltd has now been trading for 17 years. We design and build network infrastructures and provide IT support services to small and medium companies across the UK. We use a range of technologies from Microsoft, Webroot, VMware, and HP to name a few. 

As we continue to grow as a company, we are looking to expand our internal staff count. 


You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete an IT systems and networking - Azure Cloud Support Specialist - Level 3 Apprenticeship. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for logging calls coming into the company via email/telephone, and if possible, resolving those calls via remote login capabilities, or arranging an onsite visit.
  • If a particular problem cannot be solved quickly and effectively, then the candidate would be expected to pass on to a senior colleague.
  • Apply health and safety procedures within the workplace, including manual handling, fire awareness and hazard awareness.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, obtain information, and provide solutions for a good range of technical problems.
  • Understand the importance of good customer service and lead by example.
  • Gain an understanding of how downtime can affect the various departments within a business.
  • Gain an understanding of how to document their troubleshooting and diagnostic steps to outline the faster resolution of future scenarios.

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019
  • Network troubleshooting – DNS/TCP-IP/DHCP
  • Familiarity with basic network troubleshooting, including setting up WIFI hotspots, diagnosing speed and broadband issues, replacing routers, creating network cables.

Having a full UK driving license is highly essential, as travelling will be crucial to the role. 

Entry requirements:

You need to have 5 GCSE’s:

  • Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades D or above
  • 3x GCSE’s grade A-C in any other subject

You must not already have a qualification in a similar subject at the same level, or higher level than this apprenticeship.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working week:

40hrs per week. 

9am – 5:30pm,

Lunch – 30mins.

Other information:

Contractual Notice Period: 1 month after probationary period

Start Date: ASAP

Health & Safety Risks on Premises: A full induction of site facilities etc will be provided as standard on the first day.

Full training will be provided, and as you progress there is the possibility of additional external training paid by the company, not to mention scope to complete work at client sites.

QA’s apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education.

To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
