This role is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled, enthusiastic, and experienced person to make a huge difference to the children in our care. The role requires enthusiasm, a great sense of humour and the ability to have fun! You will learn how to plan and lead activities for the children attending our breakfast, after school clubs and holiday camps. You will have the freedom to take risks, try new ideas and have lots of fun in our pursuit of providing the best possible childcare and customer service.

Full training and support for your development will be a constant feature of your time with us, and we very much look forward to hearing from you.

Term time:

Breakfast Club 6.45am 9.00am (Mon-Fri)

After School Club 2.45pm-6.30pm (Mon-Fri)

10 hours Office time, inc. college hours (weekly)

School holidays:

8 hours shift at Holiday Camp (4 days per week)

8 hours Office time (1 day per week)

Training to be Provided:

•City & Guilds QCF Diploma for the Children & Young People s Workforce Level 2

•Functional Skills if required

Expected Duration:

12 months

Skills Required:

We expect you to be polite, calm and have a positive attitude to your role, learning and our company.

Qualifications Required:

This role isn't dependant on GCSE passes. We are interested in you as a person, what you want to achieve and how we can help you reach that.

Personal Qualities:

We need you to be punctual, clean, tidy and ready to work with a great group of children. No day will be the same, so you need to be flexible and ready to think on your feet.

Future Prospects:

All our previous apprentices have stayed with the company beyond completion of their qualification, seen a significant pay rise and been promoted to senior positions.

Other Important Information:

All applications must be made through Apprenticeship vacancies. Do not contact the employer direct as this may result in your application not being considered. The National Minimum Wage for Apprentices is GBP3.70 per hour effective from 1st April 2018. This is the legal minimum pay per hour applying to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their apprenticeship. For apprentices 19 or over who have completed their first year and are continuing their apprenticeship, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies.

Reality Check:

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check. You do not need to drive but this is always an advantage. Our childcare settings are located in Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill, and our office is in Haywards Heath.
