What will the apprentice be doing?
To promote a positive approach to the care, well-being and support of
Children and Young People in a therapeutic environment.
To act as a positive role model for the Children and Young People within Amegreen Children's Services, offering care and support based on structure, consistency and nurturing as part of day-to-day
living.
To ensure the safety of each Child or Young Person at all times.
To be intuitive to Children and Young People's needs; be it physical or emotional.
To be alert to any indication of stress or abuse; and monitoring, recording and reporting accordingly.
To encourage, advise and promote good personal hygiene for all Children and Young People.
To care for and provide for our Young People's daily needs, i.e. washing, cooking, ironing, shopping and bathing (if
appropriate),

Training to be delivered at Apprentices work place, the qualifications to be gained are:

Upon completion, we would aim to progress you into further career development and qualifications within residential care

Qualifications
GCSE or equivalent English Language (Grade 4) Essential
GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4) Essential
NVQ or SVQ Level 3 or equivalent Children and Young People (Grade Pass) Essential
