Level 4 Sports Coach Apprenticeship

You will learn to work in line with the Early Years Framework, working with children aged from two years old up to eleven years old, delivering a variety of sports.

You will learn how to coach a range of different sports from football to gymnastics.

You will learn how to plan and deliver effective sessions in line with our Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum that has been produced in line with the EYFS guidelines.

You will also get the opportunity to learn more about how a coaching company works, learning what happens in the background for all sessions to run. This could be anything from sales to day to day running of the company.

You will also be required to help run after school clubs. Some of our clubs include:

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Coaching experience
  • Are able to talk to children
  • Must be able to speak English
  • Ideally the successful candidate must be able to drive and have access to a car.

Desired qualifications

  • Grades 9-4/A*-Cin GCSE maths & English Language (can include equivalent e.g.Functional Skills Level 2 or A-Levels).


Future prospects

All successful apprentices will be offered a full time role uponcompletion of their apprenticeship.

There are lots of different progressions routes within the companyupon completion of theapprenticeship. Including heading academies, taking on projects and management roles.

Things to consider

Some flexibilityon working hours will be required - occasional weekend work.
